Whilst working for Kersfield as Development Manager, we achieved a planning consent for 44 residential units on this site, when it was marketed as having potential for 36 units. Working with 2 architecture firms and a full design team, we designed each unit either into existing structures or as new additions to compliment the Grade II* listed manor house. The detailed scheme focused on returning the manor house to its 18th Century original design by removing later additions and restoring original features, to create the symmetrical proportions as originally intended. Each of the 4 new units within the house have aspects looking down over the landscaped gardens in front of the house and the historic avenue of trees, Lovers Walk, beyond the boundary of the site. This scheme was sold with planning consent in October 2019 and is soon to be reaching build completion, late 2021.
